To further support this effort, a two-day workshop was organized on 27–28 January 2023 in collaboration with Super Minds, with valuable support from the Mytree Foundation. The workshop provided students with guidance, strategies, and motivation to excel in their upcoming examinations.

About the Program

The program focuses on delivering engaging, learner-focused training. Key activities include:

• School Immersion Visits: Exposure to city-based schools to review infrastructure, teaching methods, and tools.
• Effective Teaching Skills: Guidance on planning, delivering, and evaluating inspiring classroom presentations.
• Classroom Management: Strategies to create a motivational and educational flow.
• Group Dynamics: Techniques to foster constructive collaboration among students.
• Training Tools: Practical knowledge of diverse tools to enrich classroom learning.
• Knowledge Sharing Platform: A state-wise exchange of best practices to uplift rural schools.

Our Goal

The initiative aims to build a strong foundation in educational psychology, enabling trainers to guide students more effectively. By responding to challenges as they arise, trainers can enrich students’ career paths by not only making them job ready but also instilling entrepreneurial skills that will support them throughout their professional journey.

What the Workshop Offers

• Focused exam preparation in Mathematics, Science, English, Marathi, and Social Studies.
• Expert guidance from highly experienced teachers of Parle Tilak School (Mumbai) and Dnyan Parabodhini School (Pune).
• Interactive sessions that build confidence, clarify doubts, and strengthen core concepts.

Impact

Approximately 200 students will benefit directly from this initiative. By equipping them with the right tools and mentorship, we aim to:

• Boost their performance in board examinations.
• Empower them with knowledge and confidence.
• Bridge the educational gap for tribal communities.

A key focus of this phase is supporting flood‑affected schools in Wayanad, ensuring that children can return to safe learning environments and continue their education without disruption. This initiative is being spearheaded by Ms. Anoushka Anilkumar, who is leading the school drive with dedication and compassion, alongside her mother and Mytree Vice-President Mrs. Sudha Anilkumar.

Kerala, often called God’s Own Country, has endured the worst rainfall of the century. Thousands have been left homeless, hundreds of lives have been lost, and countless families continue to struggle for basic necessities such as food and medical care. Neighboring Kodagu district in Karnataka, bordering Wayanad in Kerala, has also suffered immensely due to incessant rains, landslides, and road collapses that disrupted rescue and emergency operations.

In recent days, as the rains have abated, relief operations have gained momentum. Life is slowly returning to normal, but the scale of destruction remains overwhelming.

Mytree extended wholehearted support from the very beginning, mobilizing funds through its members and friends. Mytree Vice-President Mrs. Sudha Anilkumar lead the relief effort in Kochi and our volunteer Mr. Srikanth Bangera worked closely with local NGOs to assess ground realities in Mangalore.

They purchased and distributed essential supplies including:

• Rice, wheat, biscuits, toast, and milk powder
• Oral rehydration salts (ORS)
• Tarpaulins, blankets, and undergarments
• Health and sanitation kits
• Water, sanitary napkins, baby diapers

These items were delivered to the farthest and most affected areas. In addition, Mytree supported food and medical relief camps in Kochi organized by the Rotary Club.

Mytree offers its heartfelt gratitude to all members, donors, and friends who have stood by us during this campaign. The destruction has been estimated at thousands of crores across both states, and the need for continued support is immense.

As part of this initiative, our managing team met with John Abraham, founder of Vision in Social Arena, a Christian humanitarian organization that has been transforming lives since 1997. Their tireless work provides education, food, clothing, and shelter to children living on the streets, with the goal of making them self‑reliant.

Together, we took a meaningful step forward: Mytree sponsored the annual school fees of 12 children, from Standard IV to IX. This support ensures that these young learners can continue their studies without interruption, opening doors to opportunity and hope.
